Sun Global Broadband LLC has just completed their initial capital round. Specialized software over a private network will provide applications for Hawaii visitors and cultural content for the Hawaiian Community. SGB is founded by Edward Sun, formerly with GTE, Hewlett-Packard, General Electric, Aquasearch Corporation, and VeriFone Inc.
Sun Global Broadband’s distinguished board includes Mr. James Clark (International Investor), Dr. Sachio Semmoto (co-founder of KDDI, eAccess, eMobile and Renova Corporation), Dr. Fujio Matsuda (former University of Hawaii President, Executive Director of Research Corporation, & Transportation Director for the State of Hawaii), Mr. John Warta (Founder of GST Communications, Electric Lightwave, NextNet Investments, Cascade Divide) and Chairman Edward Sun.
Board Advisors include Mr. Robin Campaniano (First Hawaiian Bank Board Member & Former CEO for AIG Hawaii), Mr. Brook Emanuel The Taylor Group, Kai Capital & Formerly with Merrill Lynch, and Thomas Yamachika (Hawaii Tax Foundation).
Heading up Sun Global Broadband Operations is Ed Sun (Chairman and CEO), Brook Emanuel (CFO & COO), Sharon Sun (Secretary & Treasurer), Keith Lee (General Counsel), Wayne Hirasa (Infrastructure) and Frank Godek (Network Design).
